I. CASATLANTIC’S NEW SHOWROOM I WANT TO VISIT
Y’all already know Casatlantic is one of the best brands in the world, and they rank among my personal favorites.
They’ve continued to expand their footprint across the globe, and are now, what I consider to be, a widely recognized name (especially those who are interested in menswear at all).
This week, they shared the opening of their first-ever, permanent showroom, located in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The showroom presents our current collection of trousers, knitwear, shirting, and tailoring in a calm, considered setting, available for private try-ons.
It’s open on weekdays by appointment only. You can email them at showroom@casatlantic.com to set up an appointment.
The interior decor looks absolutely fantastic. I love the modern, mid-century vibe. I can’t wait to visit. Congrats to Nathaniel and team on opening up the showroom.

II. PERSONAL STYLE ARCHIVE I’M CHECKING OUT
Matty Joel Chatburn launched a project on Instagram that he’s been working on for quite some time—a personal archive of his entire wardrobe called “Westerly Archive.”
I love everything he shared in the post and included his words below:
This is a place shaped by where I’m from and what formed me in Australia. Life on the coast—the place I return to for inspiration and grounding. The 60s and 70s, in particular—a golden age.
I don’t often see this reflected in menswear, in real life or online, so this is my way of building a world of my own, with the hope that others might connect and feel a part of it too.
This is only a portion of the collection, but my taste has always come from character—the surfer, the builder, the artist, the drifter. People who live simply, move with intention, and allow time to do the finishing. That’s where I pull from. That’s how I see the world.
I build my wardrobe the same way I build my life—slowly, deliberately, with respect for history and wear. Fewer things. Better things. Pieces that carry stories, not trends—where time is a friend, not a foe.
If you’re familiar with Matty at all, you already know his photography game is on point.
He’s shot for Buck Mason, Huckberry, and Tecovas. And the way he shot this archive series looks warm and cozy. It’s what you’d expect from a major brand that might document pieces from its past. I also appreciate the details about each item, including when they’re from.
Nice job on this, Matty! I’m looking forward to checking out future updates to the archive.

III. GQ BOWL RUNWAY FASHION SHOW WITH THOM BROWNE
GQ held their second annual runway show, exclusively for Super Bowl weekend, and this time they featured one of America’s most iconic designers: Thom Browne.
The show was held last night at the Legion of Honor, one of San Francisco’s most historic museums. The collection itself was exactly what you’d expect from Thom Browne, although it felt much more toned down compared to some of the “couture” collections from the past.
There were still some exaggerated looks, with skirts paired with almost every look, but overall, the color choices, leaning back into the grays along with red, white, and blue, made total sense for the brand. It’s what they’re most known for.
I’ll always hold a special place for Thom Browne in my heart (and style journey). I worked at Black Fleece, the Brooks Brothers line in collaboration with Thom Browne, for a short stint.
I also love the idea of a uniform, and Thom Browne has taken it to the extreme in all sorts of ways, pushing boundaries yet sticking to the core of what the brand has always stood for: Thom’s interpretation of the 1960s, American, classic, gray suit.
You can watch the entire show here on YouTube. The “gray” carpet pics featuring all of the celebrities who showed up for the show are worth checking out, too.

IV. THE GQ VINTAGE SHOP IN SAN FRANCISCO FOR SUPER BOWL WEEKEND
One more special notice from GQ—they’re having a pop-up Vintage Shop in San Francisco today. It’s open to the public from 10:00 AM-6:00 PM at the eBay End Zone on 71 Powell Street.
It’s a collab with eBay and the GQ Recommends staff. They’ve partnered together to source hundreds of vintage pieces to feature for sale at the pop-up, including sports memorabilia and more (I love the cowichan sweater featured above).
They’re also hosting a live auction during the pop-up, led by GQ’s Yang Yi Goh, Wisdom Kaye, and the 49ers running back, Christian McCaffery.
I wish I could be there—I’m out of town this weekend for a family member’s wedding. I’m sure it will be epic. Let me know if you were able to make it!
Also, if you can’t make it in person like me, you can still shop the live event, hosted on eBay, at 12:00 PM PT today.

V. NEW KICKSTARTER BOOK I BACKED (AND YOU SHOULD TOO)
The Ivy Look A to Z is an upcoming book project on Kickstarter written and illustrated by Graham Marsh. It’s self-described as:
An indispensable illustrated lexicon of the clothing and accessories of the Ivy Look from world authority on the style.
There are five days left, and it’s close to fulfilling its goal of $20,000.
I selfishly would love to see this book come to life and would love it if you also considered pledging any amount you can. I selected the Early Bird Special: First Edition.
If you’re into the Ivy look at all, which I tend to wear the most of, be sure to check this out. If you’re thinking to yourself, “Hey, I’ve heard the name Graham Marsh before,” he also designed the book “Black Ivy: A Revolt in Style,” written by Jason Jules.

P.S. I’m aware of the straight-up awful things that have happened as of late around the world. Sadly, I understand that more terrible things will continue to happen both in the present and future. I wish you and your loved ones peace, love, safety, and happiness.
