I. Menswear Podcast Episode I Enjoyed
In the latest episode of the Blamo! podcast, the co-founder of the brand Vollebak, Steve Tidball, shared his philosophies, ideologies, and predictions for the future of clothing, and, how that all ties into his beliefs and motivations for crafting some of the most technically advanced pieces of clothing on the planet.
I’ve kept my eye on the brand for years now, originally discovering them during my days of fashion school, when they released their first take of the 100 Year Hoodie. The thought behind a garment lasting a hundred years was wild to me (and still is!). It was amazing to hear how they sourced and created fabrics that were previously used for miscellaneous things that had nothing to do with traditional clothing—but were then able to modify them into wearable garments that are fire, water, wind, and abrasion resistant, and that last multiple lifetimes.
If you’re interested in hearing some of the most futuristic, far-fetched takes on how we’ll be wearing clothes (or how they will be wearing us), check out this episode.
