I. My Favorite Fit From The Met Gala’s Red Carpet
Every year, the most ridiculous, high-fashion garments stride across the red carpet at The Met Gala and the internet goes wild. It’s an event I appreciate, yet recognize that those looks are never meant to be worn outside of something like this.
On rare occasions, a few attendees have worn something slightly more extravagant than what you’d expect for most formal events and are able to fit in with all of the craziness and at the same time, stand out through a focus on simplicity and elegance.
A perfect example of this is what GQ’s Global Editorial Director, Will Welch, wore: a bespoke Sumi Ink Velvet Tuxedo by Evan Kinori, various accessories by Chrome Hearts, and a pair of Moscot glasses (my favorite detail).
I went through every frame on Moscot’s site to figure out which pair he wore and discovered they were the ZEV-TT SE model. I think they’re beautiful and plan on trying them on during my next trip to the city.
